New App Editions and Pricing Updates at Oboard for Jira

As Oboard grows, so do the teams that rely on us. To ensure we’re providing the right tools for every stage of your OKR journey, we’re introducing a two-tier model for Oboard for Jira: Standard and Advanced Editions.

Standard vs. Advanced App Editions

To better align with how different teams use Oboard, we are shifting to a two-tier model for our Cloud users, while retaining a single-tier model for our Data Center users.

Cloud: Standard Edition

This edition retains all the core Oboard features you already know and rely on to track progress and manage strategy. 

  • Strategy Components: Create custom OKRs and KPIs tailored to your organization.
  • Customizable Hierarchies: Build flexible structures and cascade goals using the Strategy Map.
  • Executive Dashboards: Access and export real-time analytics across all levels.
  • Automated Progress Updates: Minimize manual entry with real-time updates driven by Jira statuses and the API.
  • Check-in Schedules: Keep teams aligned with custom notifications sent to Email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Discord.
  • NEW! Check-in Feed in Messengers: Receive all updates for your team’s OKRs directly in Slack, MS Teams, or Discord. 
  • Custom Weights: Adjust the contribution weight of specific goals, metrics, and initiatives.
  • Granular Access: Protect sensitive data using private workspaces and advanced permissions.
  • Cross-Project Roadmap: Visualize your complete OKR hierarchy alongside cross-project Jira work items.
  • Custom Fields: Link budgets, resources, personnel, and other relevant data directly to your metrics.

All current users will migrate on Standard edition by default. The new limitations on the number of strategy components and workspaces will not affect existing customers.

Cloud: Advanced Edition

Designed for enterprise-level scaling, the new Advanced Edition includes everything in Standard, plus premium features designed for enterprise needs:

  • Executive Strategy Platform: A dedicated, real-time portal for executives outside of Jira (includes 10 connected seats).
  • NEW! AI Assistant Integration: Securely connect OKRs to AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini via an MCP server (using 10 Platform seats).
  • Unlimited Workspaces: Create as many workspaces as needed for various departments and business units.
  • Unlimited Strategy Components: Create an unlimited number of objectives and success metric types that reflect your internal setup.
  • Dedicated Customer Success Manager: Receive hands-on, expert guidance for seamless OKR implementation and adoption.
  • Priority Technical Support: Skip the queue with faster SLA response times and direct access to technical experts.
  • Centralized Audit Log: Monitor created and deleted strategy components across all workspaces in a single admin log.
  • Direct Power BI Integration: Connect your data directly to Microsoft’s robust analytics platform (Coming Soon).

Pricing Changes

In March, to account for the deep feature expansions over the last three years, the price of the Standard Edition will increase by 20%. The Advanced Edition will be priced 20% higher than the Standard.

For our Jira Data Center users, there will be a flat 30% price increase to support the continued maintenance, security, and feature parity of our Data Center application. For our monday.com users, there will also be a flat 20% price increase.

As an example, the price per user for a company of 1,000 people would be $1.08 for the Standard and $1.28 for the Advanced edition monthly.

What This Means For Existing Customers

We want to make this transition as smooth as possible for the teams who have been with us along the way. Existing Cloud customers will be defaulted to the Oboard Standard Edition unless they choose to upgrade to the Advanced Edition.

If you already have an Oboard account, you will be able to purchase or renew using the old prices for 60 days since the moment the editions go live. This offer is not limited by the renewal period. After the deadline, all renewals will be calculated based on the new prices. Yearly subscriptions will be set to the new prices during your next renewal.

As for trials, existing evaluators in Cloud can also pay the lower price if purchased before the evaluation expires. Existing evaluators in the Data Center will see the new price unless they have a pre-existing quote.
