Progress View and Check-in Drafts
Progress View

A new view is now available on the main objectives table: Progress.
Progress View shows how each OKR’s or KPI’s value has changed over time, displayed as a historical timeline. It’s the same format as the KPI module in Custom Dashboards — now available directly from the main table without having to set up a dashboard first.

At the bottom of the table, switch between Weeks, Months, and Quarters to change the time granularity, and choose how many columns to display — from 4 to 8. There’s also a full-screen button to expand the view when you need more space.
Switch to it from the view selector at the top of the Objectives page, next to Alignment, List, and Roadmap.
Check-in Drafts

If you’ve ever started a check-in, got pulled away, and came back to an empty form — this one’s for you.
When you open a check-in and start filling it in, Oboard now saves your work automatically as a draft. Close the window, navigate away, come back later: everything you entered will still be there when you reopen the check-in.
- Progress View: A new table view that shows how each OKR’s value has changed over time
- Check-in Drafts: Your unfinished check-ins are now saved automatically
- Public API: Check-in Edit

AI Integration via MCP in Advanced Plan
With Oboard’s MCP integration, your AI can read your OKRs, check-ins, and progress data in real time — no exports, no copy-paste, no manual formatting. Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect directly to live data sources.

What you can do with it:
- Weekly Progress Report — automatically pull all active OKRs, generate a structured summary, then post it to Slack on a schedule. No manual work, every week.
- Exec Dashboard — get a one-pager with OKR progress, blockers, projections, and key takeaways for any workspace or interval
- Check-ins Report — summarize team updates by group: what moved, what’s blocked, what’s planned next
- Alignment Check — score each OKR on structure and outcome quality, and surface the gaps that need fixing
These are starting points. Because MCP gives your AI live access to your OKR data, you can ask it anything — spot risks, compare quarters, prep for a board meeting, or build whatever report your team needs.
Works with Claude, ChatGPT, and all major AI agents that support the MCP standard.
How to set up MCP for your Jira instance
MCP lives in the Oboard OKR App Web — a dedicated portal outside of Jira that’s now included with the new Advanced Plan. If you’re on Advanced, you get 10 Web App seats included.
To explore the Advanced Plan opportunities and get help with the setup, we recommend scheduling a meeting with the customer success team.
Alternatively, you can follow this guide:
Step 1 — Create an external Oboard account
Create your web app account.
Inside your new account, go to Settings → Integrations → Jira and link it to your Jira instance. This syncs your OKR data between the two.
Step 2 — Connect the new web account to your Jira instance
In the Web App, go to Settings → Integrations → Jira and link it to your Jira instance. This syncs your OKR data between the two.
Step 3 — Connect your AI
In the new web account, go to Settings → Integrations → MCP and copy your server URL. Then add it to your AI assistant:
Claude (Desktop or Web)
- Go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector
- Enter a name and paste the server URL
- Click Add and authenticate
ChatGPT
- Go to Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and enable developer mode
- Go back to Apps → Create app
- Paste the server URL and confirm
Standard and Advanced — what changed

With this release, Oboard for Jira moves to two editions: Standard and Advanced.
If you’re an existing customer, nothing changes by default — you’re on Standard, which includes everything you already use. No features have been removed.
The Advanced Edition adds capabilities for teams that need to scale beyond the Jira plugin:
- Oboard OKR App Web (10 free seats) — a real-time OKR portal for executives and stakeholders who don’t work in Jira
- MCP — connect your AI assistant directly to your OKR data
- Dedicated Customer Success Manager — hands-on guidance for implementation and adoption
- Priority Technical Support — faster response times and direct access to technical experts
Where to check your current plan and upgrade
In Jira, go to Settings → Billing — your current Atlassian and Marketplace app subscriptions are shown there.
